The 5 cities that draw the most tourists to Canada

Toronto

In the province of Ontario, the country’s financial capital attracts the most visitors to Canada every year thanks to its cultural diversity, its numerous museums and theatres, and its iconic attractions such as the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum and a huge aquarium.
You will also appreciate the city’s diverse neighbourhoods, each with its own unique identity, and its many green spaces such as the Toronto Islands, an archipelago on Lake Ontario close to the city centre.

Vancouver

On the west coast of Canada, in British Columbia, Vancouver is the second most visited city in the country, and it’s easy to see why! A spectacular mountainous scenery over the Pacific Ocean, a relaxed atmosphere in a city centre brimming with excellent restaurants, original boutiques and art galleries, and the opportunity to take part in a wide range of outdoor activities largely thanks to its mild climate… It’s no wonder that Vancouver is also often considered to be one of the best cities in the world to live in.

Montreal

The first French-speaking city in this ranking, this large island metropolis in Quebec charms visitors year after year with its European-style atmosphere, particularly in historic districts like Old Montreal with its paved streets, charming cafés and splendid basilica, but also the more modern side of Montreal, with its skyscrapers, museums and shopping centres.
This eclectic atmosphere is also shown in the city’s varied cultural and gastronomic scene: there’s something for everyone in Montreal!

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls remains a major touristic hit, making the Canadian town of Niagara Falls (located opposite the American city by the same name) one of the top 5 most-visited cities in Canada. On the Canadian side, you can enjoy unique views of the Falls from the boardwalk along the river or from the Skylon Tower, which will be less crowded than the American side.

Calgary

Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta and the first Canadian city to host the Winter Olympics. Calgary knows how to charm its many visitors thanks to the famous Calgary Stampede, one of the biggest rodeo festivals in the world, and its proximity to the majestic Canadian Rockies, which offer spectacular scenery.
You might also appreciate its welcoming atmosphere and the vibrant city centre, with its many renowned restaurants, trendy boutiques and varied cultural venues.
