As per a ‘Starbucks affordability index’ analysis conducted by TalkMarkets, which is social financial platform, data of Starbucks Tall Latte’s prices was taken last year. The analysis, as per a Mint report, is based on multiple sources including surveys, Google reviews, delivery applications, menu images, etc.
The ‘Starbucks affordability index’ analysis displayed these different prices for Starbucks coffee in various countries:
USA - Rs 271/Cup
Tall Latte was priced at $3.26 in the USA (approx Rs 271)
India - Rs 295/Cup
Tall Latte was priced at $3.56 in India(approx Rs 295)
Switzerland - Rs 596/Cup
Tall Latte turned out to be the most expensive in Switzerland, priced at $7.17(approx Rs 596)
China - Rs 351/Cup
Tall Latte was priced at $4.23 in China (approx Rs 351)
Turkey - Rs 109/Cup
The cheapest Tall Latte turned out to be in Turkey, priced at just $1.31 (approx Rs 109)

The analysis also calculated the affordability of a Starbucks coffee in different nations. This was done by comparing the Latte price as a percentage of median daily income in that country.
According to an affordability study, Starbucks Latte turned out to be the most affordable in countries like the US (2.1%), Norway (3.1%), Austria (3.1%), Qatar (3.3%), Australia (3.4%), etc. while the countries in which the coffee was least affordable, were India (71.3%), Cambodia (86.1%), Vietnam (57.7%), Bolivia (39%).
The data indicates it clearly that while in US or Norway, a Starbucks Latte will cost just 2-3% of your daily income, whereas in nations like India and Cambodia, the percentage goes up to more than 70%.

Here, it is noteworthy that for many brands, especially when it comes to food and beverage industry, prices are usually kept high in high-income countries, vs the relatively lower ones in developing or less-developed countries.
