So I'm quietly typing away at my keyboard with my mouth watering while I try and describe to you how more-than-amazing this dinner recipe idea is.

This gluten-free chicken cordon bleu recipe slices juicy chicken breasts and then dips them in farm fresh eggs and a gluten free bread crumb mix that has hints of garlic and onion in it too.

Okay, so this is all good....

But then here's where the storygets really good....

I stuff these chicken breasts with freshly shredded swiss cheese and thin and juicy slices of ham.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Gluten free bread crumbs
  • egg, beaten
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • 4 slices of ham

BUT, after making my own breadcrumbs and tasting the difference it makes, I have to HIGHLY recommend trying to make your own fool-proof breadcrumbs.

Not only do these homemade gluten-free breadcrumbs taste so much better than store-bought, but you can make so much more for so much more of an affordable price!

Make this 3-ingredient gluten-free bread crumb recipe and store extra breadcrumbs in the freezer.

Every time I need to use breadcrumbs, I simply just pull out my plastic storage zippie bag full of homemade bread crumbs and use just what I need and place the rest back in the freezer for next time!

How to make gluten-free chicken cordon bleu:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a casserole dish lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs, onion powder, and garlic powder together.
  3. Dip the chicken breasts into the beaten egg and then directly into the bread crumb mixture. Place the breaded chicken breasts onto the greased casserole dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Take the chicken out of the oven and place one piece of ham and 2 Tablespoons of cheese on top of each piece of chicken. Top with parsley.
  5. Bake the chicken breasts for another 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through. Then enjoy!
