Yes, it's a good rating for that amount of time. Rapid is easier at the lower levels so your USCF equivalent should be a bit lower but you are progressing really well, just keep it up.

A rating between 1500 to 2000 is for considerably experienced and great players. Players with ratings beyond 2000 include some of the best players across the world who could possibly gain norms to be Candidate Masters, FIDE masters, and International Masters.

The titles associated with USCF ratings, ranging from low to high are: Class E (under 1200), Class D (1200-1399), Class C (1400-1599), Class B (1600-1799), Class A (1800-1999), Expert (2000-2199), and Master (over 2200).

1500 on chess.com is indeed a good rating. Your USCF rating would be in the range of 1300 -1700 depends on how you play in the tournaments. I had a blitz rating of 1300 and when I played my first USCF tournament ended up the USCF tournament with a rating of 1380 so yes the chess.com is fairly accurate.

Unfortunately it is only valid for ages 10 - 50. Magnus Carlsen's IQ is therefore around 160. Totally off -- Rating = (IQ * 200) - 800 which supports Fischer's 180 IQ claim (giving him a 2800 rating) and explains why chess.com starts everyone at 1200 (corresponding to the average IQ of 100).

Like I said, most players never reach 1500, but if you are determined enough, it may happen with a few years. Reaching this rating faster is not unheard of, but it is rare. It's true; at OTB you start at 101 rating but online you start at 1200. And lots of people here with OTB ratings have online ratings much higher. The range is probably about 100-200 higher than OTB.

1200-1400: a decent chess player. a person who is rated 1200 is a little above a beginner level who has basic knowledge of principles in chess(control the center, get your king castled, basic tactics etc.). the main difference between a 1200 and someone who is stronger(say like a person who is 1400 on chess.com) is mainly tactical vision.

The bad news is, 2000 is higher than the vast majority of people make it. The good news is that that alone doesn't mean that you can't. It varies from person to person, depending on how much time and talent they have to dedicate to chess. So don't worry about how long it will take or if you'll even get there.

1000 is a low enough bar to clear that just about anyone should be able to clear it easily if they try. Many people don't try, and then ask why they haven't achieved their goals.
