In a bold move to revive the local economy, LA's economic and tourism leaders have unveiled the "LA is Open" campaign, a powerful initiative aimed at revitalizing the region's tourism industry and supporting small businesses affected by the recent fires.

"LA is Open" is more than just a catchy slogan; it's a declaration of resilience and a warm invitation to the world. Officials emphasize that Los Angeles is not just open for business; it's open to embracing visitors and showcasing its unique charm.
And this is the part most people miss... The campaign is an umbrella initiative, uniting various programs like Shop LA, Dine LA, and Discover LA, all working towards the same goal: to showcase the best of LA.
Facilitated by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, this collaborative effort involves key partners such as the Department of Economic Opportunity, the Economic & Workforce Development Department, and the California Community Foundation.
On Monday, Mayor Karen Bass, alongside senior advisors and directors, discussed the campaign's vision. Mayor Bass emphasized the city's vibrancy and the diverse attractions it offers, from iconic landmarks to hidden neighborhood gems.
"Los Angeles is a city of endless possibilities, and we want everyone to experience it. From Olvera Street to our breathtaking beaches, LA has something for everyone," she stated.
Stephen Cheung, President and CEO of the LAEDC, added that the recovery campaign reflects the region's "collective determination" to emerge stronger.
"It's not just about getting back on our feet; it's about rising above and showcasing our city's unique spirit. Los Angeles is a place of innovation and opportunity, and this campaign celebrates that," Cheung explained.
