With the Broncos’ win over the Panthers,Peyton Manning is now the the oldest quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to a title at 39 years old.
The record was previously held by Broncos vice president John Elway. He was 38 years and seven months old when he led the Denver to victory in Super BowlXXXIII. He was 37 when he won Super Bowl XXXIIagainst the Green Bay Packers for his first championship.
Manning is also third on the list of oldest Super Bowl quarterbacks with his appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII, which the Broncos lost 43–8.
