UNDATED (WKRC) - Oreo announced the return of the Churro Oreo five years after its "mysterious" introduction to the shelves.

Oreo made the announcement in a post to Instagram on Wednesday.

Per the post, Oreo's churro-flavored snack, which features two fried dough-flavored cookies and churro-flavored crème, will return to the shelves on March 27.

According to PEOPLE, Oreo first introduced the churro-flavored cookies back in 2019. Per the publication, the flavor came in the form of a "mystery cookie" which came in white packaging, with the cookies looking identical to regular Oreos.

Per PEOPLE, fans were able to guess the flavor of the mystery Oreo for a chance to win $50,000.
