Oreo got back into the mystery cookie game this year with the debut of a cookie that looked like the OG one but tasted completely different. Here's how the corresponding contest worked: If you guessed the correct flavor, you were entered to win $50,000. Easy money, right? Well, time to take your detective hats off, because after months of suffering guessing, Oreo finally revealed that the creme is churro-flavored (...and the winner was notified).

If you guessed funnel cake, graham cracker, or gingerbread—which were the most popular guesses according to Nabisco, the makers of Oreo—good try! Maybe next time! Wipe your tears with Oreos, perhaps!

Other guesses were mostly along the lines of something sweet and cinnamon-y, like flavors from French toast to snickerdoodle cookies.

The contest ended November 10, so it has been quite the wait for this news. Now that the limited-edition flavor is known, though, you can grab ‘em off of shelves while supplies last.

The first Mystery Oreo sweepstakes happened in 2017, and the flavor ended up being Fruity Pebbles. Maybe this will be an every other year kinda thing? Whatever the case, I just hope Oreo never stops crafting new flavors, but the added bonus of potentially winning 50 G's isn't so bad.
