Here’s why your belly will love it:

Pineapple boasts anti-inflammatory properties thanks to bromelainand is also known for its role in breaking down foods and improving digestion. Lemon and ginger are both terrific when it comes to combating queasiness, while fennel settles the stomach and reduces gas and bloating.

Put them all together in one convenient shot and you have yourself a powerful and pleasantly spicy smooth tonic to help ease your digestive woes.

P.S. For extra belly benefits try mixing in an equal amount of coconut water kefir to make a lightly fizzy spritzer teaming with gut-friendly probiotics. (You can make your own and always have a batch on-hand or just pick up a bottle at the store.)

Here’s to your health!

Can you make a bunch of these ahead and keep in fridge?

      Hi Kim,

Yes you can, but fresh pressed juice is best consumed within 3 days so I'd recommend only making a small batch.

Would there be any additional benefits to blending all of the ingredients, rather than juicing?

    • Sylvie says

The ginger and pineapple are both rather stringy when blended so I recommend it be juiced instead. The only additional benefit would be extra fiber but it's a nominal amount and you'd be sacrificing on taste and texture.
