Sabra Hummus Recall Lawsuit (2024)

The FDA has recently announced a recall of Sabra hummus products. The regulatory organization announced that the Sabra hummus was contaminated with salmonella, which could result in food poisoning. Our food poisoning lawyers are currently investigating Sabra hummus recall lawsuits.

On March 29, 2021 the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in conjunction with Sabra Dipping Company, LLC, announced that they have recalled certain batches of Classic Hummus that may be contaminated with salmonella.

What Sabra Hummus products are being recalled?

The recall is limited to 1 SKU of 10 oz Classic Hummus produced on Friday, February 10, 2021 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 12:00 midnight with a “Best Before” date of April 26.

The voluntary recall is limited only to 10 oz Classic Hummus. No other Sabra products are affected by this recall. This product was distributed to 16 states.

The recalled product is listed below. Consumers can find time stamp and “Best Before” date on the top of each package.

Symptoms of Salmonella Poisoning

Salmonella food poisoning is a bacterial food poisoning caused by the Salmonella bacterium/bacteria. It will generally cause swelling in the lining of the stomach and intestines, also known as gastroenteritis.

The symptoms of salmonella poisoning will usually present one-two days after a person has eaten a contaminated food, and may include fever, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps and pain. Salmonella poisoning symptoms will usually end in about five-seven days after a person gets sick.
