Starbucks is trying to brighten your holiday season.
The popular coffee company says it's giving away free hot chocolate every weekend for the rest of December with the purchase of any other grande drink in the store. The drink comes in a complimentary short cup, and there's a limit of one per purchase.
The offer available in-store and at the drive-thru. Some eligible Starbucks app orders can be redeemed in-store with same-day proof of drink purchase. The offer continues through Dec. 31, and the company says supplies are limited.
Half off Starbucks drinks on Thursdays
If hot chocolate isn't your thing, Starbucks app users can get 50% off any drink every Thursday in December. The offer is valid from noon to 6 p.m. each day to Starbucks Rewards members at participating stores. The offer is good for one drink per customer at participating locations.
So, Thursday might make the perfect time to try one of Starbucks' special holiday cold foams. Each is inspired by the flavors of beloved holiday drinks and combines flavors with Starbucks' signature vanilla sweet cream.
This year's flavors include:
Peppermint Chocolate Cream Cold Foam: A peppermint-flavored syrup and chocolate malt powder blended with vanilla sweet cream.

You must scan the member barcode in the App or present your registered Starbucks Card in order to redeem your Birthday Reward. You can check to see if your Birthday Reward is available by accessing your account on www.starbucks.com/account or in the App.
If you have provided Starbucks with a current, valid email address, you will receive a notification email from Starbucks approximately twenty-four (24) hours after earning your 250th Star indicating that your Free Drink Reward is available for use.
Customers have to be signed up for the Starbucks rewards program to participate. Customers without a registered account may purchase a refill at a reduced price, according to Starbucks. Refills do not apply to specialty drinks but do apply to the basics: Hot, Iced Coffee or Cold Brew, and tea (hot or iced.)
