Super Bowl 58 will introduce a brand new, alternate broadcast for the first time in NFL history, when a SpongeBob-themed, slime-filled live telecast of the San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs game appears on Nickelodeon.
The San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs “Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom” broadcast will air on Nickelodeon starting at 6:30 p.m. ET — the same time as the main Super Bowl 2024 broadcast on CBS. It can be streamed live on Philo (free trial) and other live TV services.

SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill fa*gerbakke) will be going live from the booth in the kid-friendly version of Super Bowl 58, joined by other members of the SpongeBob cast. It will feature “Slimey stunts, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, wacky player facts, AWESOME easter eggs,” augmented reality features and more, according to the press release.

The SpongeBob cast mates will be joined in the booth by Noah Eagle and analyst Nate Burleson, as they call the same game as the primary telecast, featuring Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs defending their Super Bowl title against Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers.

6:30 p.m. ET, on Sunday, February 11, same time as the primary Super Bowl LVIII broadcast on CBS.
