Football Charcuterie Board: Ingredients & Equipment
To make a Football Charcuterie Board, you will need …
Ingredients
- Air Fryer Buffalo Wings – click the link to the left to see the full printable recipe on my blog.
- frozen chicken bites – I used Member’s Mark from Sam’s Club. You could use any fresh chicken tenders from your grocery deli, frozen breaded chicken tenders, or if you want the smaller bite-size chicken, you could get catering from Chick-fil-A to add to your board.
- celery and carrots – traditionally paired with Buffalo chicken. You can add different veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, cherry/grape tomatoes, etc.
- salsa – store-bought or homemade. As hot or mild as you like.
- Fritos and Tostito’s Scoops – or pretzels, potato chips, or any other chip you enjoy.
- pickles and olives – briny and salty, these are the perfect addition to your board. Use any kinds of pickles and olives you enjoy.
- BBQ Sauce and Ranch Dressing – or any other dipping sauces you like for chicken. Nacho dip and/or onion dip would be great, too!
- cheese cubes – I really like Cheddar or Colby-Jack, but feel free to use any flavors you like.
Equipment
- football-shaped serving tray – optional
- board or platter – to assemble the food on
- toothpicks and mini tongs – for serving

Football Charcuterie Board: FAQs
➡️ Can I make a Football Charcuterie Board for other sports or events?
Absolutely! While it’s commonly associated with football, you can adapt the concept to other sports or occasions. For example, you can create a basketball-themed board for basketball games or a holiday-themed board for special occasions.
➡️ Where can I find a football-shaped platter for my board?
Football-shaped platters can be found at party supply stores, kitchenware shops, or online retailers. If you can’t find one, you can use another serving tray or platter as an alternative and arrange the snacks in the shape of a football.
➡️ How can I make my Football Charcuterie Board visually appealing?
To make your board visually appealing, focus on arranging the snacks in an organized and attractive manner. Use a mix of colors, textures, and shapes to create a visually appealing display. You can also add garnishes like fresh herbs or edible flowers for an extra touch of elegance.
➡️ Can I prepare my Football Charcuterie Board in advance?
Yes, you can prepare some components of your board in advance, such as cutting vegetables, marinating wings, or arranging non-perishable snacks. However, it’s best to assemble the board closer to serving time to maintain freshness and ensure the best presentation.
➡️ What are some creative variations for a Football Charcuterie Board?
You can get creative with your board by incorporating themed snacks or decorations related to your favorite team or event. Additionally, consider experimenting with different sauces, condiments, or regional flavors to add a unique twist to your board.
Notes
- If there is no room left on the board, place the salsa on the outside of the board but near the chips.
- If you are unable to find a football-shaped platter, you could place the dip in small bowls and then place the chicken wings and chicken bites on parchment paper in the center of the serving board, filling in the remaining snacks around them.
- Other items to add to the charcuterie board: Mozzarella sticks, potato skins, French fries, or assorted deli meat.
- Consider a whole spread of assorted charcuterie boards – chili with all the fixings, hot dogs and all the toppings, a baked potato bar, a chip and dip board, etc.
