What is Jhalfrezi?

The word Jhalfrezi originated during British Rule. It combined words from Bangla and Urdu.

Jhal meant Spicy Food in colloquial Bangla and Farezi or Pharezi meant suitable for diet in Urdu.

It is also confused sometimes with the Indo-Chinese dish. It is a popular dish in restaurants in UK, Indian and Nepal.[ source – wiki ]
